Great place to have fun !!!!

General information: We spent one night at the Hilton Resort in Galveston but my family was not feeling the place and was very uncomfortable. There was no microwave in the room and we had a sorry view of a parking lot which made it even more depressing for me. So I called Gaidos Seaside Inn and told them that I was miserable and asked them what they had to offer and could they accommodate a family of five. The manager said yes, reserved our rooms, and told us when we checked out of the Hilton to come right over, our rooms were ready! I am so glad I listened to my heart. We liked the atmosphere from the start. The staff was soooo friendly. We had a great view of the beach and the rooms were just as clean and nice as the Hilton. My king sized bed was divine. I slept like a baby. We ate at the Gaidos seafood restaurant. Good food but pricey. They have several restaurants in walking distance along with souvenir shops. The highlight of the hotel was the entertainment and the pool. The bar is poolside so I watched everyone having fun while me and the hubby drank pina coladas and margaritas by the pitchers ! Let me tell you, they make a mean margarita. Never had so much fun in my life. The DJ played ole school and new school music and mixed it just right. If you want a room to just sit or sleep, go to the Hilton, but if you want it all, go to Gaidos Seaside Inn. It's not fancy looking but you will feel like you are at home partying with friends. Oh yeah, one more thing. You know you have it going on when people from other hotels come to your hotel to party.That's right. We met and saw people all night drive up and get out to party with us. Everyone got along. All colors and nationality. This review is straight from the heart and every penny we spent was worth it ! Location and surroundings: Walking distance. Service: Great! Maids do a good job of cleaning room and very friendly. Bilingual. Dining: Good food in restaurant! Need more options for breakfast in the lobby. Sports and leisure: Jacuzzi, big pool, waterfalls. Beach, fishing, bike rentals. Room: Beach view, refrigerator, microwave, iron, a plus Useful tips: Early check in was a plus. Parking in front of room.
